I have always had a sense that I wanted to work in the professional help arena, so I followed my gut and completed a BA in Human Services. My experience has been working with gay, lesbian, transgendered and questioning youth in a drop in center in the heart of downtown Denver, aiding recently-arrived refugees with case management-style work and working as a personal paraprofessional for a beautiful young girl with special needs. In my current position as a Life Essentials Specialist, I provide mentorship services and job coaching for adults with developmental disabilities. I enjoy and value the opportunity to be helpful to an individual who is navigating their life path. Outside of work I enjoy reading, drinking coffee, lounging about and swimming in rivers.
