Michael Barry
I received my BA in Applied Psychology at University of Chicago at Illinois in 2006. I then worked as a group home manager in Arizona, where I assisted adults with developmental disabilities with everyday living and activities. I later became the training coordinator for the same company, preparing all the employees to work in group home and day program settings. I just recently moved to Denver and am happy to be able to continue my career working with individuals with developmental disabilities at Colorado Solutions. The people I have met who work in this field have all been good-hearted and kind people, and it makes a great environment to work in. I enjoy working with my supervisors and colleagues together as team, and the customers I have assisted have given me a strong sense of community and appreciation. Outside of work, I enjoy a good balance of eating, relaxing and being physically active. I have been vegetarian for almost 10 years. I enjoy hiking, biking, playing sports and spending time with my dogs, as well as listening to and playing many types of music.
